Allison Martinek is a photographer and artist from northeast Iowa. She earned her BFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Pushing beyond stigmatized and generalized narratives of marginalized bodies, Martinek’s photography specializes in plus size representation. She prides herself on creating an inclusive and positive environment for everyone during her photoshoots. Leading with empathy, connecting with people, and showcasing authentic emotions are the core foundations of Allison’s artistic practice. 

Martinek’s work has been published in All About Photo Magazine and showcased in multiple exhibitions, including Leica’s Power in Perspective Exhibition.

When she is not behind the camera, you can find Allison in her studio jamming to music and creating art in a variety of forms, including drawing with pastels, watercolors, wood burning, or a completely new medium she wanted to explore.
